Post Consumer Brands: Improving the digital experience
Post Consumer Brands, a division of Post Holdings, is the third largest cereal company in the US. Post has grown both organically and through acquisition and was looking for ways to improve communication and collaboration across the organization. We worked with Post to design and develop a new intranet leveraging Office 365 to engage employees and improve communication.
Challenge
A need for a modern productivity toolset
With a track record of both organic growth and acquisition, Post was looking for a way to standardize on a common digital workplace technology platform to help improve collaboration and productivity. Having selected Microsoft Office 365, Post was looking for strategic guidance and an implementation partner to get the most out of the platform. We engaged with Post business and technology leadership to create a vision and roadmap to improve the employee experience.
Results
Designing the Digital Workplace
Through a tailored visual design that aligned to their organizational brand paired with the modern cloud platform of SharePoint Online and Office 365, Post Consumer Brands has been able to improve organizational communication and the overall employee experience. The solution has enabled the organization to improve productivity through the growth they have experienced.
How we did it
Key components
Business Objectives and Measurement Strategy
We facilitated executive-level workshops to identify and document key business objectives that the solution would help address. Additionally, formal key performance indicators (KPIs) were identified to measure success.
Organizational Change Management (OCM)
We helped define the strategy on how to prepare the organization to take full advantage of the Office 365 platform. Organizational Change Management was a key component to driving adoption.
User Research / Personas
We led multiple user interviews to understand the behaviors of employees within the organization. This research lead to the definition and creation of personas that shaped the design of the user experience.
Mobile Intranet Design
We created a responsive mobile experience for the corporate intranet using SharePoint Online to engage employees on the devices they use most while adhering to the organizational brand identity.
Governance Planning
With the rollout of a platform that every single employee would be using, we created a governance plan to ensure consistency of use, design, and content.
Cloud platform
RBA designed the solution to utilize the built-in features of SharePoint Online to allow content editors to publish content without the need for IT involvement.
