Senior Project Manager

You're our next Project Manager

You're responsible for the coordination and completion of projects while oversees all aspects of projects. You'll also set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarizes progress of project while leading and directing high-priority projects. Your projects will often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration to run our client's projects successfully. 

Job Roles:  

  • Manage project development from initiation to closure
  • Be accountable for project results along with project sponsor
  • Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing
  • Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task
  • Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders
  • Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members
  • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms
  • Determine if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan. If required, recruit and manage appropriate staffing resources
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to sponsor
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis
  • Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved
  • Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution
  • Safely and appropriately disengage unsuccessful or re-prioritized projects
  • Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion  Role Specific Knowledge
  • Knowledge of formal project management discipline
  •  Planning, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively resolve disputes and handle crisis with objectivity
  • Experience developing and maintaining customer relations
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and public speaking/presentation skills
  • Experience interfacing and facilitating with technical groups and non-technical customer base.
Education, Licensure, and Experience: 
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 10+ years of experience in formal project management role which includes experience in managing large project teams    
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification preferred, but not required

Scope of Job:   

  • Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center’s viability or its quality of service via personal contributions. 
  • Autonomy of Job:   Under general supervision: occasional supervision over repetitive tasks.  New duties or project-type tasks may receive “Strict” or “Direct” supervision, depending upon the nature of the task(s).  
  • Supervisory Responsibility of Job:  Assists in supervising others.  Provides basic job training and guidance on a regular basis; performs work of same or closely allied nature.
